Pedal for Puppies - CAG Austin Subaru's Charity Bike Ride - Benefiting Austin Pets Alive!

Austin Subaru is the proud Title and Host Sponsor for Pedal for Puppies. Pedal for Puppies is a urban charity ride. All riders are encouraged to wear helmets, obey the rules of the road, and ride with caution. We have support vehicles, however the streets will open for normal use. The support vehicles will not be stopping traffic. Bicycles are required to stop at stop signs and red lights and obey all other rules of the road. Cyclists should also use arm turn signals and ride no more than 2 abreast in the right lane.

Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) is a 501(c) 3 (nonprofit) organization that promotes and provides the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals.

Pedal For Puppies is a 25k cycling event that starts and ends at Austin Subaru. There will be one rest stop along the way at Jack & Adam's Bicycles. You can view the map and directions. There is a delicious post-ride meal after the event that is for all the participants, riders and volunteers. There is light entertainment at Austin Subaru for our smaller riders and those who are relaxing.

2011 Recap: Our second Annual charity bike ride benefiting Austin Pets Alive! was held on Saturday, October, 29th 2011. We had over 287 registered participants. The riders lined up at 8:00AM and took off from Austin Subaru - 200 W Huntland Drive Austin, 78752. This year's updates included porta potties at Jack & Adam's, Motorcycle Support from MSET-TX, and Police Escorts for visibility. Thanks to everyone who helped make Pedal for Puppies a huge success. With the registrations, donations, and the silent auction, we were able to raise $11,610 for Austin Pets Alive! Louie's Fresh Start Program Condos.

2010 Recap: Our first Annual charity bike ride benefiting Austin Pets Alive! was held on Saturday, November, 13th 2010. We had over 200+ registered participants. The riders lined up at 8:30AM and took off around 8:45AM from Austin Subaru - 200 W Huntland Drive Austin, 78752. Thanks to everyone who helped make Pedal for Puppies a huge success. We were able to raise $8,500 for Austin Pets Alive! Louie's Fresh Start Program Condos - the largest amount of money raised for APA! during a public event.
